The Mid Vermont School girls basketball team withdrew from the Vermont Division IV state tournament because of a refusal to play against an opponent with a transgender student-athlete.

The school’s head of school, Vicky Fogg, stated that playing against a biological male jeopardizes the fairness of the game and the safety of their players. Vermont law allows transgender female students to play on girls’ sports teams, and the Vermont Principals’ Association supports best practices through their inclusivity statement. The school had earlier submitted a letter asserting that it reserved the right not to follow all of Vermont’s anti-discrimination laws.

It appears the Vermont Principals’ Association is not looking out for the best interest of their biological female students, putting the needs of a biological male ahead of the actual females. It takes a lot for a school to get into the playoffs, but it takes a lot more to forfeit the game and take a stand in protection of real women and the integrity of their sports, because biological males should not be infiltrating women’s sports.

VNews reported more details on the forfeit:

The No. 12 seed Eagles were scheduled to play a first-round game at No. 5 seed Long Trail on Tuesday night, but their withdrawal forfeited the game to the Mountain Lions.

“We believe playing against an opponent with a biological male jeopardizes the fairness of the game and the safety of our players,” MVCS head of school Vicky Fogg wrote in an email to the Valley News on Wednesday evening. “Allowing biological males to participate in women’s sports sets a bad precedent for the future of women’s sports in general.”

Fogg was not available for a comment according to Vnews, but no comment was needed. The female players and team took a stand for what’s right and that’s the most important part of the story.

Amber Heard has been relaxing in Spain following her bizarre legal battle with actor Johnny Depp. Furthermore, it seems that Heard has located a secure residence outside of the boundaries of the United States of America. Heard and her one-year-old daughter Oonagh Paige Heard are currently in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Currently residing in Spain, distant from the borders of the United States of America, is Heard’s daughter Bianca Butti, a Hollywood writer, producer, and cinematographer who also enjoys living there.

Following his victory in the slander action a few months ago, Depp has traveled the globe. Heard has been living alone with her buddy in Spain in the meantime. She has not been seen by the public.

On July 1, 2022, Heard submitted the motion to appeal. Heard’s attorneys argued in the appeal request that there were inconsistencies in the jury. They contended that there were sufficient differences between the individuals called to serve on the jury and the actual trial participants to reverse the existing decision, which is against Heard.

Heard doesn’t seem to be doing much as she licks her wounds in Spain. Instead, she is content to spend time with her infant daughter, Oonagh Paige Heard, and relish her stay in the nation that borders the Mediterranean Sea. She is also having a great time with her pal Butti, who has directed a few different movies and TV shows.

Fox News has had a terrific 2022. Throughout the year its cable shows, particularly shows with Greg Gutfeld and Tucker Carlson, absolutely demolished the competition, particularly in younger demographics. Meanwhile, the digital division of Fox News did well too, brutalizing the woke online competition and also outperforming even other conservative news sites.

But it wasn’t just Fox News’ biggest personalities and website that did well. Other Fox News figures did as well, such as Dan Bongino. In fact, according to a recent report in Ad Week, Dan Bongino’s Saturday night show was the most-watched show on primetime, absolutely blowing the competition at CNN and MSNBC out of the water.

That show occurs during the 9 pm (EST) time slot. During it, Bongino and his show brought in a whopping 1.19 million total viewers. Meanwhile, CNN’s program at the same time, the Ad Week report shows, brought in only 219,000 average viewers. MSNBC managed to do just slightly better than CNN, bringing in 315,000 average viewers in that 9 pm EST time slot.

Bongino’s domination extended to the crucial 25-54 demographic, bringing in 134,000 average viewers in that demographic. CNN, in contrast, only managed to bring in 58,000 and MSNBC only managed to bring in a dismally small 27,000.

Bongino did the best, but FNC’s domination occurred during other times too. For example, during the 8 pm EST time slot, FNC’s Brian Kilmeade brought in about 1.06 million viewers. A bit less than Bongino at 9, but still far better than CNN and MSNBC. CNN, during that time slot, did a bit better than it does at 9 pm, bringing in 282,000 average viewers, still far less than Kilmeade. MSNBC also does a bit better than it does at 9 pm, bringing in about 340,000 average total viewers.

This is yet another victory notch in the belt for Fox News, which has dominated its woke competition since Trump left office, particularly over the past year. For example, Fox Media Relations commented on the milestone it reached from a ratings perspective in December of 2022 and how that milestone compared to MSNBC and CNN, saying:

FOX News Channel (FNC) notched its seventh year as leader in all of cable television while delivering the third highest-rated year ever in cable news history for 2022 in total day viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. The network’s programs continued to break new ratings records throughout the year, resulting in FNC continuing as the number one cable network in primetime and total day in viewers in basic cable for the seventh consecutive year and the highest-rated cable news network for the 21st straight year.

In primetime, FNC averaged 2,330,000 total viewers, 346,000 in the 25-54 demo and 214,000 in the 18-49 demo. In total day, FNC was the only network to post increases versus 2021, delivering 1,489,000 total viewers, 231,000 in the 25-54 demo and 141,000 in the 18-49 demo. FNC trounced CNN and MSNBC combined in primetime and total day across both categories, finishing the year as the only cable news network to notch more than 2 million in primetime viewers and 1 million in total day viewers.

FNC programs made up 92 of the top 100 cable news shows during 2022. Notably, CNN and MSNBC each saw their lowest-rated years of all time in total day with the younger A25-54 demo. According to data from Nielsen/MRI Fusion, FNC also attracted the most politically diverse audience in cable news with more Democrats, Independents and Republicans tuning into FNC than any other network in total viewers and the younger A25-54 demo.

This year, FNC had its second highest share of the cable news audience in its history with 53% in total day in the 25-54 demo. FNC also drew 55% of the primetime audience in total viewers.

As the 6th game of the season came to an end, with six more to play, the principal of Joseph Barron Senior High School in Des Moines had no choice. He had to fire the new coach — former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

The police are men and women who put in a lot of effort to ensure that our society is safe and governed by the law.Many believe they are underpaid, even though their job is among the most difficult and significant in our nation.

This is something that the Gallipolis, Ohio, KFC wanted to draw attention to and emphasize.

A few people have expressed disapproval of the branch owner’s decision to post a self-printed notice on the restaurant’s front entrance.

The sign above reads, “Everyday all day, all uniformed police officers eat free.”

It was obvious that the restaurant wanted to express their appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the local police officers.

One cannot win over everyone.

Some believe that ambulance drivers, medical personnel, and other emergency services employees should receive the same preferential treatment as police officers, and that it is unfair for police officers to be the only ones receiving it.

One policeman was compelled to respond after hearing so many disparaging remarks:

Although some of you are unable to see the wider picture, this is a positive topic.
Whether I’m in uniform or not, as an officer, I never go into a business expecting or desiring to get anything for free, much less a discount, and I can assure you that other officers share my sentiments. We object to “special treatment.”

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy once again engaged in a chaotic back-and-forth with Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre as the question-and-answer session became heated over the ongoing illegal migrant crisis.

Upon taking office in January 2021, President Joe Biden immediately reversed the majority of his predecessor’s strict immigration and border enforcement policies, which Republicans say has led to historic levels of illegal crossings and smuggling of drugs like fentanyl that are killing nearly 100,000 Americans a year.

Doocy was preparing to ask a question about the arrival of thousands of illegal migrants at Eagle Pass, Texas, this week, but Jean-Pierre countered with a question of her own, leading to the tense exchange, with her shouting before finally moving on to other reporters:

DOOCY: So, what do you call it here at the White House when 10,000 people illegally cross the border in a single day?

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: So, what do you call it, Peter, when GOP puts forth a — wait, no —

Q: The administration said yesterday it was granting temporary legal status to hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans. At the same time, the city of Eagle Pass in the Rio Grande has announced a state of emergency because of immigrants surge. Is there any concern that the timing of this Venezuelan TPS announcement might exacerbate what’s happening in Eagle Pass right now? And — and, you know, essentially, is this going to make the situation in Eagle Pass worse?

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: So, look, we have worked very hard — the President have worked very — very hard to pleme- — implement a strategy, when it comes to the border, that is humane, safe, and has orderly enforcement. That is something that we have tried to do and worked really hard to do these last two years.

I do want to add a couple of things that we also announced yesterday, as you — just to note — I’m sure you know — which is escalating the fight against smuggling and trafficking by prosecuting an increasing number of smugglers as well as non-citizens who are violating our laws. Right? This is an announcement we made yesterday.

Also, in deploying 800 new active-duty military personnel to support border efforts and get CBP agents and officer out in the field. This is up to — up to — this on top of the 2,500 National Guard personnel also deployed.

And expanding the Fentanyl [Family] Expedited Removal Management.

So, those are three other pieces that we announced, as well as the Venezuela TPS yesterday.

Let’s not forget the 24,000 CBP agents and officers along the southwest border.

So, we have taken steps without the help of — of Republicans in Congress to do everything that we can to deal with this issue.

And let’s not forget what the Republicans proposed. Their continuing resolution would lead 800 CBP agents and officers being fired and (inaudible) 50,000 pounds of cocaine, more than 300 pounds of fentanyl, more than 700 pounds of heroin, and more than 6,000 pounds of — of other drugs to — to enter the country.

That is what they proposed just a day — a day ago. And that’s what that would do to the — to the border; it would hurt and harm and not deal with the issue.

So, they are doing the opposite of what the President is trying to do — is actually move forward in a way that is humane, safe, and has an orderly enforcement pathway process here.
